The High-Protein Plate by Rachael DeVaux, RD
Getting enough protein, especially as we age is so important. I wanted to check this cookbook out to see if I could find some new, higher protein recipes to try. DeVaux divides the recipes into 4 categories - Breakfast, Everyday Mains, Soups, Salads, and Snacks, and Dessert. Other than the Dessert category, the other categories have subcategories of recipes like Slow Cooker Mains, One Pan Meals, etc. Overall, the recipes look good and not too complicated. I did find a few I'd like to try. If you want/need to add more protein to your diet, this is a good place to start.
The Stress Free Slow Cooker by Stephanie Gigliotti
I tend to cook on 1-2 days for the whole week, so I'm always looking for easy ways to make meals that will have leftovers. Crockpots are great for doing the cooking for you, so you can do other things. This is a great cookbook with lots of crockpot meals. The recipes are organized by type of recipe like Classic Comforts, Five Ingredients or Less, Better Than Takeout, etc. I already use my Crockpot regularly, but I did find a few new recipes I'd like to try. This would be great for someone new to Crockpot cooking or with not a lot of time to cook each night.
